The ACLU has made it clear that it is seeking an individual case to represent. This individual must have been or is currently in a guardianship and have the following qualities
- The ability to communicate clearly
- willingness to participate in an ACLU lawsuit
- physical well-being enough to accomplish multiple interviews from the ACLU
